Made with Responsability

For us it was always important to create this brand with a true purpose of sustainability, inclusion and ethical fashion.

Sustainability

Taking into account the conditions in which the world finds itself today, we advance increasingly in sustainability strategies donating a percentage of the sale of our garments to the O2 Reserve organization in Medellin - Colombia, who are dedicated to the administration , conservation and protection of the tropical humid forest, initially located in the middle Colombian Magdalena.

Slow Fashion

Acquerello is also a slow fashion brand, where our production level goes slowly, where each garment or size sold is replenished gradually , without wasting or having an exaggerated stock; and often making several of our garments to order thus reducing unnecessary production. We believe in the Colombian workforce, we work with a maquila made up of women heads of household in Soacha, supporting the work of our seamstresses who are a great ally for our industry.

Our printing processes

We also limit harmful chemicals/dyes, reducing energy/water use and waste. That is why our sublimation process for prints also contributes to the sustainability of our fabrics, being done based on heat and pressure without the need for water.

The Fabrics

We use some options in low-impact fabrics such as recycled polyester lycra obtained from PET bottles, which are collected, classified, crushed, washed, melted, granulated and spun, to give a second use to plastic; thus contributing 77.3% less CO2 emissions because we want beachwear not to be seen as a problem but as a sustainable way to enjoy our oceans and beaches.
